Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Extinguisher Technician to join our team at SolutionOne, Inc. As a Fire Extinguisher Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining current and new customer bases throughout the Greater Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and surrounding NY areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspecting, installing, and servicing Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems, Industrial Systems, and other related building system products.
  • Managing and maintaining day-to-day service-related calls and inspections.
  • Responding to service calls in a timely and efficient manner, troubleshooting, and repairing as needed.
  • Communicating with customers on current work order status and outstanding customer issues.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, schematics, and product manuals.
  • Creating project documents such as drawings, bill of materials, and scope of work narratives.
  • Completing necessary certification courses on internal and external products used.
  • Maintaining company property and documentation in accordance with established policies and handling proprietary information in the prescribed manner.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multi-meter usage, etc.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying/moving equipment up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work on and safely use ladders and lifts.
  • Punctuality and ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to work well with team members.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
