Position Overview

Work Schedule: This position offers a favorable Monday to Friday daytime schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians and nursing staff in delivering patient care and managing clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
  • Escort patients to examination or treatment areas and accurately record vital patient information prior to consultations.
  • Administer injections as prescribed by the healthcare provider.
  • Handle patient communications, including returning calls and coordinating with pharmacies for prescription management.
  • Gather essential patient records and laboratory data required for medical assessments.
  • Collect blood samples while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Support medical examinations and procedures as needed.
  • Assist in scheduling follow-up tests and appointments.
  • Maintain and organize examination and treatment rooms, ensuring necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Process administrative tasks such as typing, faxing, and reception duties.
  • Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervising medical staff.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is mandatory, along with graduation from an accredited medical assistant program. While six months of experience in a medical practice is preferred, we are open to considering new graduates.
