Job Summary:

Innova Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant I to join our team. As a Laboratory Assistant I, you will play a critical role in supporting our laboratory operations and ensuring the highest quality of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
  • Prepare specimens for testing and analysis, including scanning and data entry of specimen and patient information
  • Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
  • Troubleshoot any specimen-related issues and replenish test bench supplies as needed
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Record logs and other administrative duties as requested
  • Follow all standard operating procedures to ensure safety and quality standards

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous medical/lab or production experience is preferred
  • Comfortability with handling biological specimens and ability to accurately identify specimens
  • Detail-oriented and quick learner
  • Ability to work well in a team setting
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
