The Cardiovascular Surgical Technician plays a vital role in supporting the surgical team during cardiac procedures. This position involves the meticulous organization and management of sterile setups, ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available for surgeons and nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Facilitate the movement and positioning of patients before, during, and after surgical interventions.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and sanitization of the operating room post-procedure.
- Utilize limited experience and sound judgment to achieve operational goals.
- Perform a diverse range of tasks under general supervision, requiring creativity and flexibility.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Current certification as an Operating Room Technician (ORT).
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in a surgical setting.
- Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in the surgical field.
