Surgical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Specialist to join our team at Forrest General Hospital. As a key member of our perioperative services team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical department, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Perioperative Services Management: Oversee the management of our surgical department, including coordinating patient flow, managing supplies and equipment, and ensuring compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor our surgical team, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent patient care and efficient department operations.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate effectively with our multidisciplinary team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
- Quality Improvement: Identify opportunities for quality improvement and implement initiatives to enhance patient care and department operations.
- Education and Training: Provide education and training to our surgical team on new procedures, technologies, and best practices to ensure they are equipped to provide exceptional patient care.
- Education: Successful completion of a technical or vocational school surgical technician program or associate degree in surgical technology.
- Experience: Five years of surgical tech experience, with at least three years in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center.
- Certification: Certified Surgical Tech (CST) certification preferred.
