Job Overview

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM SUPERVISOR

The After-School Program Supervisor plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive and secure educational atmosphere for children. This position involves overseeing students during informal activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. Reporting to the Assistant Director and collaborating with the Social Worker, the Supervisor will be responsible for organizing materials and managing after-school groups. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with children and uphold their dignity and respect at all times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and manage free play during after-school hours
  • Gather and report data on student behavior and interactions
  • Engage in proactive and professional communication regarding students with both teaching and non-teaching staff, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Promote and support the school's inclusive culture and practices
  • Conduct all responsibilities with professionalism and integrity
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to contributing positively to the school community

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Deep commitment to and alignment with the mission and values of Columbia Grammar & Preparatory School
  • Excellent time management skills; capable of handling multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Strong organizational, communication (especially with children), and problem-solving abilities
  • Energetic, dedicated, reflective, and eager to learn and adapt

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday - Friday: 2:45 PM - 5:45 PM

COMPENSATION

Hourly Rate: $30.00
