About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.
  • Support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, including participating in leisure activities and socializing with peers.
  • Assist clients with personal care, meal preparation, and clean-up.
  • Transport clients to appointments and activities, ensuring their safe and comfortable travel.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues to ensure seamless care and support.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving, preferably supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or mental illnesses.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification (preferred or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire).
  • First Aid/CPR certification (preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment).
  • California Driver's License.
