Job Title: Direct Support Professional II

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional II to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a DSP II, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional II assists adults with developmental disabilities in their daily lives in a home setting. This includes assisting with complete care of dietary, hygiene, grooming, and dressing needs, as well as redirecting behaviors with various activities.

Essential Functions:
  • Outline and prepare daily routines for clients as written in their Individual Program Plan.
  • Assist clients with bathroom needs, change undergarments and/or clothing if needed, and prepare daily meals and assist with clean-up.
  • Pick-up/drop-off clients in company vans from/to their home/facility (if necessary).
Education and Experience:
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid, CPI, and MUST have DSP 1 & DSP 2.
  • Minimum Experience: 1 year of professional or personal experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities (e.g. Autism) or mental illnesses (e.g. Bipolar) with challenging behaviors strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
