Event Director for Exceptional Experiences

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Director to lead our team in delivering exceptional banquet and catering experiences for our clients at the Mayflower Inn and Spa.
Responsibilities:- Managing Banquet Operations
- Plan and coordinate event logistics, including supplies, staffing, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with laws and regulations related to events.
- Maximize customer satisfaction by understanding the impact of banquet operations on event success.
- Maintain established sanitation levels and manage departmental inventories.
- Schedule staff to meet service standards and maximize profits.
- Participating in and Leading Banquet Teams
- Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance.
- Conduct regular meetings with the banquet team to discuss progress and address concerns.
- Stay up-to-date with food and wine pairings, cuisine trends, and current event styles.
- Act as a liaison between the culinary team, sales, and events departments.
- Executing Event Services Operations and Maintaining Inventories
- Attend pre-event meetings to understand client needs and preferences.
- Establish consistent standards for all event spaces.
- Conduct thorough event space inspections before each function to ensure set-up meets specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in event operation areas.
- Coordinate routine maintenance to ensure a high-quality experience.
- Ensuring and Providing Exceptional Customer Service
- Set a positive example for guest relations and interactions.
- Obtain feedback from guests on product quality and service levels.
- Respond promptly to guest problems and complaints.
- Encourage employees to provide excellent customer service.
- Strive to improve service performance and emphasize guest satisfaction during team meetings.
