About the Role

Gannett Fleming, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Billing and Project Accounting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of project billing and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Setup and Compliance: Review project contract documentation to ensure accurate project setup and compliance with client requirements, quality guidelines, and revenue decision-making protocols.
  • Financial Data Management: Input new and existing project information, prepare invoices using various software packages, and analyze information relevant to client invoicing.
  • Invoice Processing: Compile invoice packets to meet client requirements, which may include timesheet and expense documentation, DBE reporting, client-required forms, and Project Manager progress reports.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze and research Work-in-Process and Project Analysis with excellent proficiency, and perform Project Closeout Analysis with excellent proficiency.
  • Internal and External Liaison: Provide internal and external audit liaison assistance, and assist with training and mentoring staff.
  • Software Maintenance: Perform testing and maintenance in conjunction with the IT department, and assist in research and testing of new software implementation for the department.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience: At least 15 years' relevant experience, with 10+ years' experience in Project Accounting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Acrobat Adobe, ability to prepare Advanced invoices via BST, Excel, and utilize Client Portals, working knowledge of Project Accounting Software such as BST or Deltek.
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills, ability to multi-task with close attention to detail, possess time-management skills and a cooperative attitude to work under pressure.
