Financial Operations Specialist Position with Competitive Salary and Benefits

We are seeking a Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This position will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
### Job Summary
The Financial Operations Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the accounts payable function, including reviewing purchase orders and invoices for appropriate documentation, coding expenses, and reviewing credit card coding. The successful candidate will also be responsible for data entry to the accounting system, processing payables, and distributing payments to vendors.
### Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the accounts payable function, including reviewing purchase orders and invoices for appropriate documentation, coding expenses, and reviewing credit card coding
* Data entry to the accounting system, processing payables, and distributing payments to vendors
* Communicate with vendors to verify billing and other payable related information, if needed
* Serve as a backup for the accounts payable function in the absence of the Accounts Payable Specialist and Accountant II, Billing
* Assist in the overall billing processing and electronic transmission, including bi-weekly PROMISe billing and monthly private pay billings
* Work on re-billing and reversal requests in collaboration with the Accountant II, Billing
* Develop and enhance partnerships with staff members and/or participants for the completion of all duties and responsibilities of the position
* Extract billing information from the billing system (MatrixCare) and upload journal entries to the accounting software
* Assist the Chief Financial Officer and the Controller in preparation of the operating budget, County budgets, grant budgets, or other reports as requested
* Assist as needed with the Fiscal Department preparation for the annual audit
* Provide clerical assistance for the Fiscal and Administrative Departments
### Requirements
* 18 years of age
* A valid driver's license
* Access to a vehicle with valid insurance, registration, and inspection
* High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Certificate required
* Associates degree or technical certification within a related area preferred
* 2 to 5 years of previous job-related experience expected
* Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English
### Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
