Air Conditioning Systems Specialist

The HVAC Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of air conditioning systems in both commercial and residential buildings. This role ensures that HVAC systems operate efficiently and in accordance with industry standards to provide a comfortable environment for occupants.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect, Maintain, and Repair Air Conditioning Systems: Inspect, maintain, and repair air conditioning systems, including HVAC units, ventilation, and refrigeration units.
- Diagnose Electrical and Mechanical Faults: Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Perform Routine Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure AC units are functioning properly.
- Conduct Performance Tests and Adjustments: Conduct performance tests, adjust thermostatic controls, and replace filters and components as needed.
- Install or Replace System Components: Install or replace compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and other system components.
- Ensure Compliance with Industry Standards: Ensure compliance with local HVAC codes and industry standards.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service while communicating the status and needs of HVAC systems.
- Keep Records of Maintenance and Repair Activities: Keep records of all maintenance and repair activities, reporting issues and resolutions to supervisors.
- Follow Health and Safety Regulations: Follow health and safety regulations during maintenance, installation, and repair work.
- Respond to Emergency Service Requests: Respond to emergency service requests promptly and effectively.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in HVAC or a related field preferred.
- Valid HVAC Certification/License: Valid HVAC certification/license (EPA, NATE, etc.) or willingness to obtain relevant certifications.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as an AC Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong Knowledge of HVAC Systems: Strong knowledge of air conditioning systems, ventilation, refrigeration, and electrical systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose problems and resolve them efficiently.
- Proficiency with HVAC Tools and Equipment: Proficiency with HVAC tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair techniques.
- Strong Understanding of Safety Protocols: Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to HVAC work.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good Communication and Teamwork Skills: Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical Demands: Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces.
- Prior Experience with Residential and Commercial AC Systems: Prior experience with both residential and commercial AC systems.
- Familiarity with Energy-Efficient Systems: Familiarity with energy-efficient systems and practices.
- Customer Service-Oriented: Customer service-oriented with a professional attitude.
- Physical Demands: The position requires standing, bending, and lifting heavy equipment.
- Work Environment: Work may be required in confined or outdoor environments.
- Occasional After-Hours or Emergency Work: Occasional after-hours or emergency work may be necessary.
