The Product Engineer / CAD Designer role is a design position dedicated to improving current designs and developing new designs. This role supports internal and external manufacturing, vendors, and customers in daily business activities as required.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with engineers and design teams to create detailed mechanical designs and specifications for mixing and material handling systems that meet industry standards and client requirements.
- Develop 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software (SolidWorks Preferred) to illustrate components, assemblies, and systems.
- Manage drafting standards and CAD document control processes. (SolidWorks Vault, SolidWorks, and Draftsight). CAD ERP system administration (SolidWorks Vault).
- Contribute to design reviews and brainstorming sessions, providing innovative ideas to address design challenges and improve product performance.
- Inspect and consult on non-conformance parts through the company FQMR system. Determine if parts are usable and provide dispositions to the vendor.
- Assist with technical consultations and equipment commissioning that may include travel to customer locations throughout the US (up to 20%) with occasional international travel.
- Perform on-site inspections of manufactured components and/or vendor facilities.
- Work closely with the production team to assist in manufacturing and quality assurance and control.
- Support the sales team by providing technical support and assisting in customer meetings and discussions.
- BS in Engineering discipline
- 2-5 years of experience in a machine design role
- US citizenship/green card
- 3D & 2D drafting and design
- Capital equipment design
