Job Title: Optometrist

Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team in a rural hospital setting.

About the Role

We are looking for a medical optometrist to work in a larger rural community hospital with 1 established ophthalmologist and 6 skilled certified ophthalmic assistants in a hospital-owned practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, and manage various conditions of the visual system
  • Provide comprehensive optometry services to patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of a fully accredited college of optometry program (OD)
  • 1-3 years of clinic experience preferred
  • Licensed by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry (NBEO)
  • Licensed in the State of Vermont
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association
