Job SummaryWe are seeking a Transportation Construction Inspector to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection Practice, supporting a project in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities- Inspect various facets of work on the construction site, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and special provisions.
- Take field measurements and perform calculations to verify construction accuracy.
- Prepare relevant inspection reports to document findings and recommendations.
- Verify that appropriate materials and construction processes are being used, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure that construction conforms to project requirements, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the success of the project and the company.
- One (1) year minimum PennDOT experience as a Technical Assistant 2 (TA-2) or higher.
- Two (2) years minimum of transportation, highway, or bridge construction inspection experience.
- Four (4) years minimum of highway or bridge construction, non-highway or bridge inspection, or highway or bridge design experience, with non-inspection personnel required to complete the 12 web-based TCI training modules.
- Possess a Transportation Technology Construction Inspection certification received through an accredited Technology program approved by the Department.
- Holds an Associate's or Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Holds an active Professional Engineer's License.

- Paid time off contingent upon full-time or part-time status and level of seniority (ranging from 15 to 25 days per year).

- TRC ensures that all employees, including those that work part-time, receive paid sick, family, and disability leave in accordance with the laws of their state of residence.
Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program, which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators that vary by year and employee.
