Position Summary:
The Material Handler plays a crucial role in the movement and management of finished goods and materials within the organization.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute inventory transactions to manage product flow within the warehouse.
  • Handle loading and unloading of materials in storage facilities, utilizing equipment such as racks and carts.
  • Ensure proper organization and inventory accuracy within the department.
  • Adhere to established procedures and standards, including ISO documentation.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area, following 5S principles.
  • Report safety concerns promptly to the Supervisor or Manager.
  • Assist with daily departmental operations as directed by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Familiarity with material handling equipment, including pallet jacks and forklifts; certification for forklift operation is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, including basic math and legible writing.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must follow established procedures and work under supervision.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Working Environment:

  • Engage in repetitive tasks regularly.
  • Primarily standing for the duration of the shift, with breaks as scheduled.
  • Shifts may vary in length (8, 10, or 12 hours).
  • Exposure to a typical manufacturing environment, involving frequent movement and lifting of materials.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, kneeling, and reaching throughout the shift.
  • Demonstrate fine motor skills and the ability to use tools effectively.
  • Vision requirements may include close and distance vision, as well as depth perception.
  • Compliance with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements is mandatory.
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols as outlined by the company.
