Position Overview:
This entry-level role reports to the Manager of Accounting and Financial Reporting, focusing on general accounting tasks and journal documentation within the Financial Operations team.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Execute fundamental accounting functions including ledger analysis, cost assessments, fund reconciliations, and inventory fiscal control.
2. Oversee revenue and expenditure monitoring for various accounts, ensuring compliance with established policies and accounting standards.
3. Develop routine spreadsheet applications, prepare financial data for system input, and generate financial reports based on operating statistics.
4. Ensure timely preparation of scheduled and special billings, cost reports, and preliminary financial statements for various funding sources.
5. Analyze and maintain accounting records, including journal entries, and prepare budget, revenue, and expense corrections as needed.
6. Assist in the analysis and forecasting of financial trends.
7. Address standard issues related to funds, budgets, and expenditures.
8. Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal fiscal systems and procedures.
9. Support audit activities as required.
10. Maintain familiarity with company finance systems and adhere to established accounting protocols.
11. Provide accounting support and customer service to various departments.
12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance; educational qualifications may substitute for experience.
- Proficient understanding of standard accounting principles.
- Familiarity with technology platforms for data entry and communication.
- Quick learner with automated accounting systems.
- Strong mathematical, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret financial data and documentation accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset.
