Key Responsibilities- **Food Safety and Sanitation**: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety principles and regulations.
- **Meal Preparation and Delivery**: Divide and deliver meals to classrooms in accordance with early childhood education principles and state licensing regulations.
- **Kitchen Operations**: Ensure food stock is rotated, supplies are neat and organized, and replacement stock is ordered.
- **Customer Service**: Provide exceptional service to children and staff, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with the Nutrition/Dietitian Manager and other team members to achieve departmental goals.
- **Education**: High School Diploma or GED required.
- **Experience**: Experience working in a kitchen in a childcare setting preferred.
- **Certifications**: Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) preferred.
- **Skills**: Ability to take directions well and work as a team member.
- **Knowledge**: Knowledge of proper kitchen sanitation required.
This position requires the ability to exert moderate extended physical effort in light work, involving standing for extended periods, stooping, kneeling, and lifting moderately heavy objects. The position also requires visual and auditory perception and discrimination, as well as oral communication skills.
