Position Overview:
This is a part-time role designated for the Eaglewood Golf Course under the Air Combat Command.
- Location: Langley AFB.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engages in the sale of various merchandise, including prepackaged snacks, tobacco products, and confectionery items.
- Operates the cash register, processes transactions, accepts payments, and provides change, including handling credit card transactions or charging to customer accounts.
- At the conclusion of each shift, reconciles the cash register and submits cash along with necessary documentation as directed.
- Conducts daily inventory checks and ensures the work area is maintained in a clean and organized manner.In a Food Service Environment:
- Executes checkout tasks such as ringing up food, beverages, and merchandise by individual item; calculating totals; processing credit card payments; accepting cash; and providing change.
- May assist with food service duties, including setting up serving lines, restocking beverage dispensers, and notifying kitchen staff when the buffet requires replenishment.
In a Dining Setting:
- Receives patrons' meal checks, processes sales through the cash register, accepts payments, and provides change. Additional related duties may be assigned as necessary.
Employment Qualifications:
- Open to all applicants. Candidates will be evaluated based on preferences and eligibility criteria.
- Eligibility will be determined based on the information provided in the application and supporting documentation.
- Relevant experience includes both paid and unpaid work, including volunteer roles through National Service programs and other organizations.
- Your resume should clearly outline your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualification based on education, transcripts will be required.
Required Experience:
- Must possess experience in responsible clerical or office work, demonstrating the ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Experience in cash handling, including receipt, disbursement, examination, and deposit of cash items, is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. Must be skilled in customer interaction. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).- Must be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete necessary training.
