Key Responsibilities:
- Under the direct guidance of the Practice Manager, Program Director, or Program Coordinator, the Patient Service Representative (PSR) engages with incoming and outgoing patients and visitors, offering assistance as required. The PSR ensures that patients and visitors are directed to the appropriate areas within the facility; interacts with them in a courteous, respectful, and professional manner at all times. This role involves receiving incoming calls, routing them appropriately, taking messages when necessary, and ensuring timely communication with the intended recipient. The PSR is responsible for maintaining accuracy throughout the registration and payment collection process, adhering to the established policies and procedures of New Horizon Family Health Services.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Medical Office Training certificate or relevant education and training beyond high school is preferred.
- Preferred two years of experience in a medical office or healthcare facility.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and the public.
- Capable of understanding and following detailed verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrates basic mathematical computation skills.
