Kelly Professional & Industrial is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. This exciting opportunity involves procuring goods and services that align with the company's needs and specifications.

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience or involvement in procurement processes. They should possess skills in negotiation techniques, basic supplier evaluation, and purchase order management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, select, and purchase merchandise that meets the company's requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and prices while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to avoid overstock and out-of-stock situations.
  • Stay up to date with market trends and product availability to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Seek the best combination of quality, price, payment terms, and delivery by comparing suppliers.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of direct purchasing experience or involvement in procurement processes.
  • Negotiation techniques, basic supplier evaluation, purchase order management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Understanding of purchase order processes.
  • Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
