Job Title: Pediatrician

Job Summary:
Clínica Romero is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatrician to provide high-quality medical care to children and their families. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our staff, and contributing to the overall success of our clinic.

Responsibilities:
• Provide routine and specialized medical care to patients aged 0 to 18 years, and occasionally up to 21 years of age.
• Conduct thorough medical histories and physical examinations, and gather relevant medical information for each patient.
• Make accurate diagnoses, educate patients and parents on the diagnosis, and implement treatment and follow-up care based on current standards of care and evidence-based medicine.
• Provide other medical services, such as USPSTF health preventions and screenings, and counsel patients on family planning and birth control as needed.
• Document patient information accurately in the medical record, and review results of lab tests and diagnostic imaging to arrange appropriate follow-up.
• Provide health education and document all health education administered, and review referral/consultant reports to arrange follow-up as necessary.
• Answer medical questions from patients and staff, and assist in training and supervising other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.

Requirements:
• Current Medical License from the Medical Board of California.
• Completion of a pediatrics residency program and Board-Eligibility in pediatrics, or Board Certification from the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
• DEA Registration Certification with current DEA registration number.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies, and the public.
• Ability to manage and lead clinic operations, and provide proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations as required.
• Knowledge of and adherence to the practice of pediatric medicine according to the standard of care in our community.

Additional Criteria for Foreign Medical Graduates:
• USMLE Step 1, 2, and 3, and a California Medical License.
