About the Team:
The Power & Project Finance Group is a dedicated team of seasoned professionals specializing in delivering tailored financing solutions for power generation assets and related infrastructure projects across the nation. This team is adept at providing a comprehensive range of financial products, including construction and term loans, acquisition financing, revolving credit lines, and letters of credit for projects spanning various sectors such as solar, wind, and energy storage. Our team's extensive expertise is enhanced by the robust offerings of Zions Capital Markets, allowing us to manage all aspects of syndicated project financing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct financial modeling and analysis, identify critical risks, assist senior bankers with loan structuring and pricing, and prepare detailed credit analyses.
- Provide analytical, underwriting, and marketing support during the origination and execution of new lending opportunities.
- Review loan documentation and due diligence materials to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Stay informed about financial and market trends in the power and energy sectors and assess their implications for new opportunities and the existing portfolio.
- Implement all relevant credit policies and internal processes for executing and funding new transactions.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.
- Establish external relationships with clients, serving as a backup contact when primary relationship managers are unavailable.
- Act as the primary account officer for assigned transactions, maintaining accurate risk ratings and preparing monitoring materials.
- Assist in the training and development of junior analysts and associates.
- Travel may be required as part of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial lending, investment banking, or project finance advisory.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Advanced understanding of project finance, power generation, and structured finance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor junior team members.
- Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in producing written analyses of financial statements and modeling outputs.
- Strong analytical and Excel-based financial modeling skills.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to build credibility and relationships.
