Job Summary

We are seeking a Clinical Nurse with experience in oncology-focused clinical and triage settings. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will facilitate patient entry into the cancer program, serve as a point of contact for primary care physicians and referring providers, and implement risk assessments and healthcare pathways for cancer patients.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate patient entry into the cancer program and serve as a point of contact for primary care physicians and referring providers.
  • Initiate and document patient teaching.
  • Perform telephone triage.
  • Follow up on recommendations from Harris Health System's Ask My Nurse service.
  • Implement risk assessments and healthcare pathways for cancer patients.
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate and maintain patient care plans.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience, preferably in oncology-focused clinical and triage settings.
  • Current State of Texas professional nursing license (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred.
