Capital Projects Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the French Market Corporation's Capital Program/Capital Budget, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify and pursue outside funding opportunities, such as grants and partnerships, to support capital projects.
  • Develop project work scopes, review development plans, and prepare cost estimates to ensure accurate project budgeting.
  • Prepare bid documents in coordination with the City's Office of Procurement and Office of Supplier Diversity, ensuring compliance with procurement regulations.
  • Monitor construction contracts for compliance and coordinate with inspectors, contractors, and design professionals to ensure successful project execution.
  • Maintain and archive project records according to document retention policy, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with city and neighborhood partners in planning major district initiatives, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with executive staff on insurance coverage and coordinate claim repairs, ensuring seamless risk management.
  • Perform annual property assessments prior to hurricane season, ensuring preparedness and resilience.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Four years of progressively responsible professional administrative experience in capital projects management or procurement, with a minimum of two years in preparing bids and/or grant proposals.
