Job Summary

The Capital Projects Operations Coordinator is responsible for the systematic management of the capital tax exemption program as it relates to construction purchases. This role works closely with general construction contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers, as well as the Tulane materials management department and accounts payable department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing material quotes and opening purchase orders
  • Coordinating contractor approvals of all supplier payments
  • Processing invoices and reconciling contractor pay applications for proper owner direct materials payment deductions
  • Ensuring compliance with Tulane's financial compatibility systems and federal, state, and local tax exemption requirements
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in Finance, Accounting, or Budgeting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of AIA and Construction Library of Specifications
  • Experience with Tulane financial software systems (TAMS, Concur, SciQuest, Cognos)
