Electronics Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Practice in Natick, MA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to combine scientific and engineering principles, data-driven techniques, and current experimental methods with robust subject-specific scientific expertise to implement high-value solutions to complex technical problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering analyses related to ongoing Exponent work in the fields of failure analysis of consumer products, fire origin and cause, product design and intellectual property.
  • Assist on projects involving the design and failure of electrical and electronics systems, including circuit and PCB design, power supplies, power distribution systems, batteries, and power management.
  • Design and perform tests and critically assess results.
  • Author technical reports and technical proposals.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power and Energy Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline.
  • Technical background in semiconductor design and fabrication, analog or digital circuit design, embedded systems, or computer hardware and architecture.
  • Experience with at least one common programming language such as Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Strong lab-based experimental and research ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
