Job Summary

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering & Computer Science Practice in Natick, MA. As a key member of our team, you will work on a wide range of projects, from failure analysis of consumer products to design and failure of electrical and electronics systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform engineering analyses related to ongoing Exponent work in the fields of failure analysis, fire origin and cause, product design, and intellectual property.
  • Assist on projects involving the design and failure of electrical and electronics systems, including circuit and PCB design, power supplies, power distribution systems, batteries, and power management.
  • Design and perform tests, critically assessing results.
  • Author technical reports and technical proposals.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power and Energy Engineering, Physics, or other related discipline.
  • Technical background in semiconductor design and fabrication, analog or digital circuit design, embedded systems, or computer hardware and architecture.
  • Experience with at least one common programming language such as Python, C/C++, Java, MATLAB, or similar.
  • Strong lab-based experimental and research ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to work independently or in multidisciplinary teams.
