About the Role:

We are on the lookout for a skilled CNC Machining Specialist to enhance our dedicated team within the manufacturing sector. This is a permanent, full-time role that involves programming, setting up, and operating a variety of CNC machinery. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, with substantial hands-on experience in CNC programming, mills, lathes, and other equipment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, program, simulate, and test intricate CNC programs to manage machining operations on mills, lathes, and additional equipment.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain various CNC machines including Hurco, VMC, Index, Akuma, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Sinker EDM, Wire EDM, among others.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports effectively.
  • Monitor machine feed and speed during operations, making necessary adjustments to ensure precision.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
  • Identify malfunctions or deviations in machining and adjust machine controls as needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a tidy and safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to implement operational procedures and troubleshoot system issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery, analyze test results, and adjust or repair machines as required.

Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience as a CNC Machining Specialist in the manufacturing field.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical experience with CNC programming, mills, lathes, and various other machinery.
  • Proficient in operating and maintaining machines such as Hurco, VMC, Index, Akuma, Samsung, Mitsubishi, Sinker EDM, Wire EDM, etc.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CAM and NX software.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work for extended periods.
  • A valid machinist certification is advantageous.
