Job Summary

The Production Operator I is a key member of the H.B. Fuller team, responsible for operating equipment and processes in compliance with legal and company rules. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare raw materials and packaging for production, ensuring accurate quantities and timely delivery.
  • Operate processing equipment according to process instructions and procedures, maintaining optimal run rates and product quality.
  • Monitor equipment performance, identifying and reporting any deviations from normal operations.
  • Conduct initial testing and release of products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Verify labels and packaging materials, ensuring correct labeling and adherence to company standards.
  • Pack final products according to instructions and H.B. Fuller quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to company EHS rules and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager/Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • No prior experience necessary, but basic knowledge of common software programs (MS Office) is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
  • Availability to work in shifts, including 1st shift (6a-2p).

Preferred Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in an industrial environment.
  • Basic understanding of English language.

Physical Environment

  • Required to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, use hands to remove or lift boxes, stretch, reach, stoop, and bend.
  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Work in a temperature-controlled environment with normal chemical conditions.

Compensation

The salary for this role is $20/hour. In addition to salary, H.B. Fuller offers a competitive total rewards package, including comprehensive benefits, incentive and recognition programs, health and wellness benefits, 401K contributions, paid time off, and paid holidays.
