Shift Details: This position operates during the night shift, with standard hours from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage plus a shift premium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the production team, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Conduct start-up meetings to communicate essential information regarding safety protocols, production schedules, and quality standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and practices, including ISO methodologies.
- Maintain accurate production records for scheduling, inventory, and quality assurance.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, managing absenteeism and promoting positive relationships among team members.
- Oversee the availability of production supplies and tools for team members.
- Participate in self-development and training activities to enhance leadership skills.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in plastics or a related field.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S methodologies is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and team-building abilities.
Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a strong presence on the production floor, with standing or walking constituting approximately 60% of the shift.
