Shift Details: This position operates during the night, with standard hours from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage plus a shift premium.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the production team, ensuring all objectives are met in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Conduct shift start-up meetings to relay important information regarding safety, quality concerns, production schedules, and metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing performance across safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and promote lean manufacturing practices and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Manage attendance and absenteeism effectively, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
  • Ensure accurate production records are maintained for scheduling, inventory, and quality control purposes.
  • Oversee the availability of production supplies and tools for team members.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain a strong presence on the production floor.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required, with potential for overtime and weekend work as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory; a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting, particularly in plastics or related fields.
  • Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 and ISO14001:2015 standards is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and 5S methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential.

The Production Supervisor plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the organization, actively identifying and addressing unsafe conditions and behaviors.
