Position Overview:
In the role of Area Aftermarket Manager, you will be instrumental in managing the Service and Parts Departments across various locations, ensuring streamlined operations and superior customer service.
Operating from our Whiteford, Maryland location, you will be tasked with driving performance, overseeing financial results, and leading a unified team to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Establish annual goals and budgets for the Services and Parts departments, aligning with the organization’s financial and operational objectives for the region.
2. Collaborate with Corporate Aftermarket Manager, Regional Aftermarket Managers, fellow Area Aftermarket Managers, and Marketing to formulate an Aftermarket sales and marketing strategy.
3. Direct the implementation of the Aftermarket marketing strategy and sales initiatives, regularly monitoring progress to ensure organizational targets are met.
4. Develop, communicate, enforce, and oversee effective processes within the Service and Parts departments to guarantee customer satisfaction.
5. Identify and drive continuous improvements in service and parts processes.
6. Recognize new opportunities and create actionable plans to enhance service and parts sales.
7. Improve operational efficiency of facilities, mobile vehicles, and other assets.
8. Prepare and analyze Service department reports, utilizing data to foster improvement and growth.
9. Manage recruitment, staffing, and employee development for Service and Parts personnel.
10. Serve as a resource for Service and Parts teams to resolve work order issues and customer concerns.
11. Actively engage in company-sponsored training to enhance knowledge and skills.
12. Maintain a positive and professional relationship with colleagues, management, and support resources, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
13. Ensure that the company’s reputation and image within the community align with the company’s Core Values.
14. Deliver a high-level customer experience consistently.
15. Adhere to, communicate, and coach all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Service and/or Parts department operations, with a focus on Service is required.
Proficient in standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office, Google, and internet-based functions.
Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
Ability to articulate effectively to individuals and groups.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to hold team members accountable.
Familiarity with John Deere and competitive products.
Solid understanding of financial principles related to Service and Parts department operations.
Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports.
Excellent customer service capabilities.
Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
Valid driver’s license required.
The starting salary for this position begins at $80K and will be determined based on experience.
