Audubon Companies, a leading EPC firm, is seeking a Project Engineer - Power Island Systems. This position entails overseeing the Contractor's performance and adherence to project technical specifications, ensuring that design document evaluations are conducted thoroughly and within stipulated timelines, while upholding the technical integrity of the engineering and design of the LNG facility. The ideal candidate will possess mid-level experience in gas turbine co-generation facilities, power island operations, gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, SCRs, and coordination among power generation apparatus, electrical distribution, and LNG facility balance of plant. A proactive and driven individual is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee that the EPC contractor delivers process engineering outputs and documentation in line with established standards, specifications, FEED design, and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure the overall design is safe, appropriate for its purpose, and operates reliably.
  • Engage in and provide technical insights during HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, and MOC reviews.
  • Assist in the evaluation of process documents, guidelines, and project specifications, ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Support the review of process studies and assessments in compliance with NFPA 59A/49 CFR 193 for FERC's LNG project permit approval.
  • Ensure project execution aligns with the organization's safety protocols, quality standards, and timelines.
  • Contribute to the review of project philosophies, process control narratives, design specifications, and other process-related documents.
  • Facilitate effective communication with other engineering, operational, and functional team members within the company.
  • Seek assistance from other engineering disciplines when multi-disciplinary technical challenges arise.
  • Maintain the technical integrity of the engineering design within their specific discipline.
  • Address Technical Queries and RFIs from contractors.
  • Participate in significant design reviews and ensure readiness for such reviews.
  • Monitor changes against the baseline scope.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • PE license is preferred.
  • Experience leading medium to large multi-discipline projects is preferred.
  • Experience in LNG projects is required.
  • Familiarity with gas turbine co-generation facilities, power island operations, gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators, SCRs, and coordination between power generation equipment, electrical distribution, and LNG facility balance of plant.
  • Proven expertise in reviewing process design and engineering activities for LNG facilities.
  • Demonstrated history as a Lead Process Engineer on a comparable LNG terminal.
  • Technical knowledge of all relevant codes and material specifications.
  • Proficient in simulation tools such as Aspen Hysys, Unisim, or similar platforms.
  • Skilled in reviewing P&IDs, Control Systems, Equipment Sizing, producing/reviewing process datasheets, and conducting technical evaluations of vendor packages.
  • Knowledgeable about APCI Liquefaction Technology.
  • Familiar with LNG Pretreatment units and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
