We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant III to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a Medical Assistant III, you will play a vital role in providing clinical and secretarial support to our physicians and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and escort patients to the clinical area, obtaining vital signs as required.
- Register and update patient information, verifying demographic and insurance details.
- Provide clerical and secretarial support, including copying, dictation, and chart preparation.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate testing and outside services as needed.
- Ensure the examination area is clean and stocked, and patients are prepared for their visit.
- Conduct in-office testing and collect, prepare, and process specimens as directed.
- Maintain inventory and ensure proper upkeep of medical equipment and supplies.
- Fulfill all compliance responsibilities and maintain Nuvance Health values.
- Demonstrate regular attendance and perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- New or experienced graduate of Medical Assistant program, or Nursing Assistant training program, or EMT certification, or 3 years job-related experience in a medical office.
- Basic medical knowledge and terminology.
- Skilled in obtaining accurate patient vital signs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPR certification.
- Bilingual.
