Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interpretive Program Coordinator to join our team at the Department of Fish and Wildlife. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing interpretive programs that promote environmental education and conservation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement interpretive programs for various audiences, including children and adults.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and alignment with departmental goals and objectives.
  • Conduct research and gather information to inform program development and implementation.
  • Provide training and support to staff and volunteers on interpretive program delivery.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental education, interpretation, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in interpretive program development and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid California driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in environmental education, interpretation, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse audiences and communities.
  • Knowledge of environmental education principles and practices.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages.
