Vietnamese Interpreter

Job OverviewLanguage World Services, Inc. is seeking a skilled Vietnamese Interpreter to join our team of elite professionals. As a key member of our language solutions team, you will play a vital role in bridging the divides of language and culture.

As a Vietnamese Interpreter, you will be responsible for conveying thoughts and intentions quickly and accurately into a target language. You must be culturally competent and determine how the message is intended to be received while retaining the integrity of the conversation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality language solutions through on-site in-person and remote interpreting options
• Professionally communicate and conduct the interpreting session
• Maintain confidentiality acquired during an interpreting encounter as required by HIPAA

Requirements:

• Native Fluency in English and Vietnamese
• Excellent listening, speaking, and retention skills to accurately convey messaging
• Experience using medical terminology
• Promptly submit timekeeping and administrative tasks
• Ability to travel to multiple locations throughout the designated regions
• Possess a valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance
• Available to work and have flexibility during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)
• Must successfully pass the pre-screening assessment, applicable background, and drug screenings, in addition to verification of work authorization
• Possess, or be willing to obtain medical clearances; TB, MMR, Varicella proof of immunity, and up to date on all applicable vaccinations such as COVID-19, unless exempt
