Job Title: Classification Officer Supervisor

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and supervisory skills. As a Classification Officer Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Classification Officers and ensuring that they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  • Facilitate meetings and delegate work assignments to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Write and maintain accurate reports and documentation.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as psychology, sociology, or criminology.
  • At least two years of experience in a correctional setting or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a correctional setting, which can be physically and emotionally demanding. You must be willing to work shifts, overtime, and holidays as needed. You will also be required to participate in random drug testing and undergo a pre-employment physical.
