Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and innovative Senior Interior Designer to help lead our Hospitality studio. As a key member of our integrated design team, you will collaborate on the design of projects from pre-design and programming through construction administration, on projects ranging in size and complexity.

You will often lead project design efforts, client interactions, and presentations. You will mentor younger staff, fostering a work environment that emphasizes mutual respect, integration, learning, communication, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop innovative and creative design solutions for hospitality projects.
  • Lead project design efforts, including concept development, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, vendors, and DLR Group team members.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff members to ensure their growth and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the delivery of exceptional design solutions.
Requirements
  • 8-12 years of experience in the hospitality market, with a strong portfolio of projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional NCIDQ Certification.
  • Industry involvement in relevant market sector organizations.
  • An understanding of how to estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.
