Job Title: Senior Interior Designer, Hospitality

DLR Group is seeking a creative and innovative Senior Interior Designer to lead the Hospitality studio. As a key member of our integrated design team, you will be responsible for collaborating on the design of projects from pre-design and programming through construction administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project design efforts, client interactions, and presentations.
  • Mentor younger staff, fostering a work environment that emphasizes mutual respect, integration, learning, communication, and collaboration.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, vendors, and DLR Group team members to deliver projects.
  • Set a vision and direction for design concept presentations, material palettes, and reviews.
  • Have strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.

Requirements:

  • 8-12 years of experience with a significant portion in the Hospitality Market.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
  • Outstanding communication, great interpersonal skills, and an enthusiastic team player.
  • Strong leadership and team building skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with SketchUp and some 3D rendering software.
  • Familiarity with FFE specification software and producing custom specifications.
  • The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional NCIDQ Certification.
  • Industry involvement in relevant market sector organizations.
  • An understanding of how to estimate fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts.
  • Has an interest in Healthy Materials and sustainable building design.
