Position Summary:
The Vial Production Specialist (VPS) plays a crucial role in executing the responsibilities associated with vial preparation and production under the guidance of management. This position requires effective interaction with various levels of personnel, active participation in departmental initiatives, and a commitment to the company’s core values.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare allergy vials utilizing extracts in accordance with established protocols.
- Acquire familiarity with extracts relevant to the VPS role and those utilized for testing purposes.
- Produce vials for reorder requests (both internal and external).
- Create vials for new patient initiations.
- Monitor phone messages, online orders, and refrigeration temperatures.
- Assist in the dispatch of vials via UPS or courier services.
- Provide support with inventory supplies as necessary.
- Verify patient account benefits and balances for reorders and new patient setups.
- Respond to inquiries from patients, primary care providers, and colleagues regarding reactions, dilutions, scheduling, extracts, and any related concerns.
- Uphold and adhere to HIPAA regulations and procedures.
- Undertake additional relevant responsibilities as assigned by the Director.
Requirements:
Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Proficient communication skills, including:
- Ability to fluently read and speak English.
- Capacity to interpret documents such as safety guidelines, handbooks, policies, and procedural manuals.
- Competence in effectively communicating, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff and patients.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Successful completion of background checks, including Office of Inspector General, State Medicaid Exclusions, Abuse Registry Checks, Drug Screening, and Sanction Checks.
- Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
