Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse to join our team at Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego. As a PICU nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and manage life-sustaining therapies, such as ventilators and multiple monitors
  • Float between units, including CVPICU and NICU, as needed
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current CA license
  • 2 full years of recent independent PICU experience (within the last year)
  • Willingness to float between units
  • Experience with ventilators, multiple monitors, and specifically CVP and EKG
