Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Compensation:
$58,000 - $70,000 with a $5,000 Hiring Bonus

Role Overview:
The Licensed Nutrition Specialist is responsible for evaluating and addressing the nutritional needs of our participants. This role involves:
- Conducting nutritional assessments and providing education to participants requiring intervention.
- Collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team to ensure that all nutritional requirements are met.
- Overseeing meal service and ensuring compliance with health standards.
- Coordinating with external meal service providers to meet the dietary needs of participants.
- Offering guidance and supervision to Dietary Aides.

Qualifications:
To excel in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- A Bachelor's or advanced degree in food and nutrition or dietetics from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Dietitian in the state.
- Registered Dietitian Certification.
- A minimum of one year of experience working with elderly or frail populations.
- Ability to pass a Background Check and Drug Screen.
- Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations prior to participant contact.

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering quality nutrition care in accordance with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics guidelines.
- Completing comprehensive Nutrition Assessments and implementing tailored Nutrition Interventions.
- Providing Medical Nutrition Therapy and education to participants and caregivers.
- Monitoring participant progress and reporting changes to the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Conducting annual in-person re-assessments and more frequent evaluations as needed.
- Participating actively in Interdisciplinary Team meetings to discuss participant care and coordinate services.
- Documenting all relevant activities and nutrition notes in the participant's medical records as per organizational standards.
- Facilitating nutritional education programs for staff and participants.
