Job Summary:

Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking subject matter experts to serve as part-time instructors in our Biomanufacturing Education and Training Center (BETC). The BETC is a first-in-New-England biomanufacturing facility created specifically to deliver intense training and education for professionals in the biotech industry.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses onsite at the BETC, as well as occasionally at a corporate location.
  • Facilitate classroom and lab courses, guiding participants through the full process of biomanufacturing.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience working in the bioprocessing industry (minimum of 15 years experience).
  • Ability to work lab equipment in a simulated GMP bioprocessing facility.
  • Prior training/teaching experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expertise in upstream processing of animal cell cultures, downstream principles and techniques, microbial fermentation development, and biomanufacturing for the non-specialist.
