Position Overview

The Clinical Staff Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and management of clinical support personnel and the operational workflows within the clinic environment. This role is a vital component of the clinic's leadership team, providing a professional nursing perspective and maintaining high standards of nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the quality of care delivered by clinical support staff.
  • Initiate and lead efforts to enhance the skills and competencies of clinical staff members.
  • Guide clinical personnel to ensure that patient care services are rendered efficiently, safely, and promptly, while being attentive to the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients.
  • Ensure adherence to established clinic policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  • Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  • A minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
  • Clinical experience in triage and patient assessment principles.
  • Experience in delegating nursing responsibilities to both licensed and unlicensed personnel, ideally within an outpatient context.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in an outpatient environment.
