Position Overview
The Clinical Staff Supervisor is responsible for the coordination and management of clinical support personnel and the operational workflows within the clinic environment. This role is a vital component of the clinic's leadership team, providing a professional nursing perspective and maintaining high standards of nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality of care delivered by clinical support staff.
- Initiate and lead efforts to enhance the skills and competencies of clinical staff members.
- Guide clinical personnel to ensure that patient care services are rendered efficiently, safely, and promptly, while being attentive to the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Ensure adherence to established clinic policies and procedures.
Qualifications Required
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Current National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- A minimum of 3 years of direct patient care experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Clinical experience in triage and patient assessment principles.
- Experience in delegating nursing responsibilities to both licensed and unlicensed personnel, ideally within an outpatient context.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in an outpatient environment.
