Job Overview

Parkview Hills Property Management is actively looking for a dedicated full-time Facilities Maintenance Specialist to become a vital part of our small team. This role encompasses a wide array of maintenance and customer service responsibilities, primarily focusing on repair and upkeep services for our valued homeowners.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities, as diagnosing and troubleshooting general maintenance issues in the field is a key aspect of this position. You will also assist the maintenance coordinator in evaluating work scopes to provide accurate quotes and estimates to clients, as well as analyze contracts and vendor agreements to ensure compliance.

Experience with fundamental home maintenance tasks, terminology, and procedures is essential. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with both customers and team members. The ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player is highly valued. Proficiency in using a smartphone for communication and task management is required.

We seek an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys problem-solving, works well with others in our close-knit team, and is adaptable to a variety of assignments. This role offers a starting pay range of $17 - $21 per hour, based on skills and experience. While there is no health plan included, benefits such as 401k, PTO, and mileage reimbursement are provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct general maintenance and grounds upkeep for the communities managed by the company.
  • Complete maintenance work orders efficiently.
  • Utilize your own vehicle for travel to various work locations, with mileage reimbursement available.
  • Participate in the implementation of an effective preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist with the maintenance of common areas as directed.
  • Manage supply purchases, ensuring that large expenditures receive management approval.
  • Perform exterior building repairs and touch-up painting as needed.
  • Obtain bids for equipment purchases or major repairs upon request.
  • Maintain and repair equipment, recording service requests and keeping accurate service records.
  • Engage in landscape construction and planting as directed by management.
  • Foster positive public relations with co-owners, outside contractors, and other company personnel.
  • Assist with any other job-related duties as required.
  • Submit weekly time sheets and maintenance invoices for processing.
Qualifications

Applicants must possess a current and valid driver’s license and have a registered and insured vehicle for service use. The ability to climb ladders and work on roofs is essential, as is the capacity to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. A smartphone is also required for effective communication and task management.
