Job Overview

MVP Health Care is seeking a skilled Government Programs Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting regulatory policy and documentation, providing research and analysis to support business decisions, and communicating complex information to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze policy, regulatory, contractual, and programmatic changes for MVP's Medicaid, Essential Plan, and Child Health Plus lines of business.
  • Provide analysis, advice, and support for timely business awareness, education, execution, and compliance deliverables.
  • Manage multiple initiatives related to regulatory requirements, filings, program/government audits, information requests, and other special projects.
  • Collaborate with MVP's Legal, Government Affairs, and Compliance Departments, as well as various internal business functions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience in a managed care, public health, or healthcare environment.
  • Minimum 5 years healthcare/health insurance experience.
  • Minimum 2 years prior experience interpreting and evaluating regulatory policy and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, interpret, and explain regulatory, policy, and other external developments and requirements via clear and concise internal communications.

Work Environment

Hybrid to Schenectady, NY (in office two days a week).
