About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team at MVP Health Care. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the comprehensive data reporting and analytical needs for Run the Business support across various departments in the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the team leader, peers, and key stakeholders across the organization to identify and implement the most efficient solutions for business problems.
  • Research and query multiple data sources, manipulate large sets of data using appropriate tools, and leverage AI, Machine Learning, or Statistical software to advance analytics.
  • Validate data, data models, and reporting for accuracy and soundness, and actively seek to draw inferences from the data to drive actionable insights and strategic discussions.
  • Develop solutions that enable a positive and productive user experience for self-service access to data assets, and present findings, models, or reports to business/leadership effectively and persuasively.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deliver in a timely manner, and actively learn MVP's data assets, products, markets to enable applying a business mindset to decision-making and reporting solutions.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, major in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or four years of full-time equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Healthcare Analytics Role (or Advanced degree in math or statistics and at least 1 year of experience working with Healthcare data).
  • Foundational knowledge of MVP's markets and products and awareness of the competitive landscape.
  • Working knowledge of MVP Data assets, including claim, pharmacy, member, and provider data, and ability to access, query, and analyze disparate data sources.
  • Working knowledge of Provider Billing/Reimbursement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently gather all relevant information, probe, challenge, and confirm business problems with team leaders and/or key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, including Power Platform, and proficiency in SQL.
  • Working knowledge of Python or R with understanding of business use cases.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to inform and educate business stakeholders on key issues/results related to work product.
