Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Management: Monitor and determine manufacturing costs, outlay, quality, and quantity of goods produced, production methods, tooling applications, and ensure the effective use of production hours, skills, machines, equipment, and facilities.
  • Production Planning: Participate in planning production schedules, technical requirements, and manufacturing controls related to all manufacturing operations.
  • Operational Efficiency: Expedite scheduled production, investigate and resolve delays, and initiate corrective action.
  • Program Coordination: Coordinate operations-related programs such as manufacturing methods, cost reduction initiatives, preventive and regular maintenance, training, staffing, safety, and housekeeping.
  • Administrative Duties: Administer company rules, regulations, and policies, participate in the budgeting process, monitor and report on manufacturing performance as it relates to budgetary guidelines, and participate in the selection and acquisition of capital equipment for the production area.
  • Leadership and Development: Perform full range of managerial responsibilities, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and developing employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, EEO/AA, performance management, department budget, and other duties as assigned.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to current process parameters and quality controls on the operative line, maintaining communication with process and quality departments to keep quality indicators within objective.
