Construction Inventory Control Manager

Frank's Supply Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Purchasing and Inventory Management professional to oversee purchasing, pricing, and warehousing activities across multiple locations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices, and updating pricing structures.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage purchasing of all product lines, office supplies, and warehouse equipment
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate prices
- Administer inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate inter-store transfers
- Oversee warehouse staff and ensure accurate receipt and verification of shipments
- Expedite vendor shipments and coordinate returns of surplus inventory
- Process purchase orders, update inventory systems, and track pricing changes
- Handle manufacturer complaints and coordinate with outside sales, accounting, shipping, and technical support
- Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts, and coordinate warranty and return procedures
- Conduct regular stock evaluations and maintain adequate inventory levels across multiple locations
- Train and develop staff, stay updated on industry trends, and attend relevant training courses
- Maintain detailed records of all inventory, pricing, and product-related activities
- Knowledge of tools such as Milwaukee, Klein tools, and Lenox
- Leadership skills and management experience
- Proficiency in computer systems, especially inventory management software
- Strong verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette
- Above-average reading comprehension, basic math skills, and technical competence
- Strong problem-solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude
- Ability to handle job stress, problem-solving, and customer complaints
- Basic knowledge of MSDS and safety procedures
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and sit for extended periods
- Experience in inventory control and procurement is preferred
- Noisy environment requiring focus and attention to detail
- Ability to work overtime with short notice when needed
- Regularly lift packages up to 50 pounds and climb stairs
- Consistent use of office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, and calculators
